Community Involvement

Western New York FCU is always looking for ways to give back to the community. The Staff at WNYFCU volunteer on many levels for many different community organizations.

We also participate in several charitable activities each year and are always looking for ways to donate our services and help those in need. Some of are most recent activities include:

Scholarship Fund

Each year WNYFCU and the Buffalo Chapter of Credit Unions award a scholarship to local high school seniors. This years winner of the college scholarship was Michael Banko.

Get Carducated Scholarship

In 2010, Western New York Federal Credit Union announced that one of their members, Angela Salerno, a college student from Orchard Park, N.Y., was the winner of a $5,000 scholarship from the Get Carducated online video contest. Contest entrants were asked to create a brief video about responsible debit, credit and ATM card use and why it’s important. Western New York FCU was one of 68 credit unions throughout the Northeast to participate in the Get Carducated competition. The competition was offered by Covera Card Solutions, provider of cutting-edge debit, credit and ATM programs to credit unions since 1986.
