Phone Scam (2/24/2011)

We have been made aware of a telephone scam. Targeted credit union members are receiving an automated message claiming that their credit union has suspended their Visa card and instructing them to call an 800 number to reactivate the card. If you receive a call like this do not give away any information instead call the credit union to verify your Visa.

Phishing Alert!

We have learned that several phishing emails have been sent. These messages are not valid and were not sent by Western New York FCU. If you receive an email regarding online banking logon activity or Visa/ATM Card restrictions, do not click the link or respond. The Credit union will never ask you for personal/account information through email or by phone. Please Contact us with questions.

Fraud Alert! (1/11/2010)

Members received text messages saying” “Your debit card has been turned off please call this number to have it reactivated.” This is a toll free number they give out asking you for your 16 digit card number. Please DO NOT EVER give your 16 digit account number out. we would never ask for it.
